2012 Photo Contest

Baraga Telephone Company is once again having a photo contest for our 2012 phone book cover. If you have a picture that you would like to submit, email them to phonebook@up.net and include your name, address, telephone number, and the location where it was taken. All photos must be clear and contain no people. Entries must be submitted by the original photographer. Do not submit a photo taken by someone other than yourself. You must be the sole owner of the copyright of any image submitted. Please have your photo submitted no later than May 14th. Voting will take place on our Facebook page beginning May 15th and will end June 1st.

Last year’s beautiful photo came from Stan Spruce of L’Anse.

Toys for Tots

Each holiday season, there are children all around the country who don’t receive Christmas presents. That’s where Toys For Tots comes in. Toys For Tots is a program that was started by a Marine in 1946 to ensure all children had something to unwrap at Christmas. Check out the Toys For Tots website to find a local drop off location or you can donate on online.

For one day only you can give a cat a forever home. All cats, 5 months or older, will have an adoption fee of only $5.00. Stop in at the Copper Country Humane Society on December 3rd from 12:00 pm to 5:00 pm.

Lots of Cats to choose from, and they would make a great holiday gift. Choose adoption as the only option.
